Messonghi
is one of the most famous tourist resorts in Corfu. Once a quite fishing village, Messonghi has been transformed into a popular holiday destination, offering a variety of accommodation even for the most demanding guests.
Messonghi is located on the south west coast of the island, 20 kms from Corfu Town (Kerkyra).

There is one large supermarket in the centre of Messonghi village, which has an excellent selection of foods, fruit , gifts, beach wear etc. Also a good number of smaller shops scattered within the village
The Beach
in Messonghi is covered in sand that leads down to the waters edge. There are also a number of sunbeds and parasols for you to hire and shallow areas of water making the beach safe for children. The most popular activities are water sports which include, scuba diving, snorkeling, jet-skiing and water-skiing. Water sports are popular with people of all ages and are available everyday.

are also for you to choose from such as various boat trips to other islands, mainland Greece, Corfu beaches, excursions to Aqualand and Corfu town for shopping.
Public transport in Messonghi is actually quite good with buses stopping through Messonghi 8-10 times daily. You can get to Kavos Moraitika, Corfu Town and Benitses. Car hire is also available.
